Slackathon 2007

(See map, coordinate D3)

Welcome to this years Slackathon, where odd people will celebrate yet another odd (numbered) release of OpenBSD, that OpenSSH thrives and that it is still possible to write free drivers for those who like their source truely Open and free.

Last year was a success, around SEK 50.000 was collected, of which over SEK 14.000 were donated at the event. The rest was collected by sales of merchandise and donations by friendly businesses and associations.

Join us as we do it all over again, since free code still cost money to develop and there's just no other BSD event where likeminded can meet and discuss (Open)BSD in Sweden. The HTML-design is as poor as always, same place as last time, and your money is as welcome this time as last year!

The date you want to hilight in your calendar softwares, pdas or smartphones is June 16th.

As the last time around, there will be no entrance fee and all profits made from the cafeteria and mechandise stand will be donated directly to OpenBSD/OpenSSH, all work during the event are volunteered. For those of you who want to stay late we will be serving dinner free of charge to all who have announce beforehand that they are coming. You can announce you're attendanding either directly to Janne Johansson or to the slackathon mailing list. Please do not forget to announce your attendance or otherwise we will not be able to supply enough food, other than that notice about your attendance is not necessary, although we do apreciate "I will be there!"-mails very much.

Some pictures taken during Slackathon-2006 is available here, some mpegs here and the resulting donation statistics here.
